Geothermal experts

G. Thor Thormodsson was the inventor and designer of the first modular geothermal generator plant which helps cut down the time to first power generation on new sites by several years and which can be used to re-purpose old oil and gas wells and marginal sites.

Thor divides his time between Iceland and Kenya where he supervises the installation and running of geothermal wellhead generators at Olkaria geothermal complex in the Great Rift Valley.

Jon Bui Guolaugsson was the project manager for the Hellisheidi 303 MW geothermal power plant in Iceland which is the sixth largest in the world.

Jon has a recurring role as adviser and trainer at the UN Geothermal University in Iceland.

Their company, Symba Renewables, has prospective geothermal projects in Kenya, Turkey, Indonesia, Philippines; and Montserrat (near the popular island of Antigua in the Caribbean).
